It was good to attend the Buckland Monachorum Parish Council Annual Meeting in Yelverton on Saturday. So much work goes on behind the scenes to keep our communities thriving and the time volunteered by Parish Councillors across South West Devon is key to this.
Great to hear more about all the work done to keep play areas, footpaths and community spaces safe and enjoyable for all.
The team also updated on the South Hams planning application for the new homes being built at Woolwell and the questions they have raised with planners, especially regarding the impact on traffic, and also on the ongoing conversations around a new commuter-suitable cycle path along the A386. Both of these issues are things I have been working on too so it was good to share information.
Enjoyed eggs on toast at Scarlets Kitchen after before heading to Plympton to support a colleague in her local election campaign!
