It was great to visit Plympton St Mary Infants and Old Priory Junior Academy and spend time with Mrs Ottewell and Mrs Slumen recently.
I got in touch with Mrs Ottewell when I saw the good news that they had secured a 'Good' Ofsted report at the end of 2023 and she invited me to meet her and have a tour of the school. I really enjoyed hearing all about the impressive work she and her team have done to improve the school in recent years.
The children I met were all really keen to show off their work and had some of the best handwriting I have ever seen! One classroom even had classical music playing as the children learned. I always think you can tell a lot about a school by the atmosphere and I loved how happy and engaging it felt.
With some exciting plans ahead, I'm looking forward to supporting in any way I can.
