On Wednesday I sponsored Vision Zero South West event in Parliament for #NationalRoadSafetyWeek. Rural communities such as ours tragically face higher rates of serious and fatal accidents, especially on single-carriageway roads. I also get lots of road safety casework from more urban areas like Plympton, Plymstock and Ivybridge.
Joined by our Police & Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez and regional MPs, we discussed how collaboration, new technology and behaviour change can help to improve road safety across the Southwest.
