Earlier this month I joined current MP, Gary Streeter, at his most recent catch up with local farmers and representatives from the NFU.
Meeting around the kitchen table of a local farm, we heard from a range of farmers - dairy, beef and arable - about the challenges and opportunities they face.
I am committed to speaking up for our farmers and rural community if elected to serve as your MP later this year; advocating for the rural way of life and increased local food production across the South Hams and Dartmoor National Park.
I am also looking forward to cooking with some delicious Sherford beef from Johnny's Farm this weekend!
