While for many Remembrance is reserved to two minutes a year, the work to preserve the memory of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice is year-round.
Many of you will know that I spent some six years working for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission before serving as a MP. CWWG war graves and memorials can be found at over 12,000 locations across Britain. I have been keen to continue to support this special organisation in Westminster.
On Tuesday I chaired the inaugural meeting for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Commemorations All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG). The cross-party group are committed to raising awareness about the CWWG's work right across Parliament.
