Last Wednesday I joined Alzheimer's Society at their Parliamentary Reception, supported by Strictly Star, Dame Angela Rippon CBE!
I was worried to learn that nearly two thirds of care workers have not received any dementia training. The diagnosis rate in South West Devon is 54.7%, meaning almost half of my constituents with dementia and living undiagnosed. I support the Alzheimer's Society campaign to mandate dementia training for the adult social care workforce.
