Yesterday, I was in London to see one of the recommendations of the Plymouth Commission on Violence against Women and Girls delivered in the House of Commons.
We recommended that local Plymouth MPs shared our learning on a national level and so I am delighted that Sir Gary Streeter MP secured an hour long Westminster Hall debate on the Commission yesterday.
Sir Gary's speech gave a fantastic overview of the work we've been doing and made some asks of the Government, including for more funding to support our work, and VAWG work across the country. There were excellent contributions from other Members too, including one who is keen to replicate what we did in his own constituency.
Feel free to have a read of the debate in Hansard here.
