Local housing association's £750,000 Employers' NIC hike will mean less homes, Rebecca warns

A major local housing association will have to shoulder £750,000 in increased Employers' NIC - money that could have been spent on new homes for some of the most vulnerable in South West Devon.

In Parliament, I asked the Treasury Minister how he will reassure my constituents patiently waiting for much-needed social housing when they realise that they will have to wait longer because of the Chancellor’s decisions.

On the Minister's response - the Government will not meet its housing targets if it taxes housing associations out of business.
