I have written in Conservative Home about the need for the Opposition to speak up about environmental issues. In recent weeks I have met with the Devon Wildlife Trust, The Woodland Trust and Porsham Farm - I understand the importance of effective environmental policies for South West Devon.
Labour's plan for farming could be potentially disastrous, threatening to slash farming subsidies and concrete over vital farmland. I will be an outspoken advocate in Parliament for our farmers and all those who care for our countryside.
