Last Friday I met with Royal Mail sorters and posties at the Mail Centre in #plymstock. They have been working incredibly hard to ensure everyone receives their post in time for Christmas.
Royal Mail's work as the UK's universal service provider is year-round, ensuring that every address can receive letters and parcels at the same price, whether you live in urban Plympton or rural Holbeton. Many of my constituents rely on their service for GP appointments, banking and contact with loved ones. I am also aware that for some suffering with loneliness, their local postman or woman might be the only person they see in that day.
I was grateful to be able to thank our sorters and postmen, including Luke and Dawn, for their work and wish them a well-deserved Christmas break!
