On Saturday I made my final constituency visit of 2024 and spent a lovely hour or so with the team at Gables Dogs & Cats Home.
Seeing behind the scenes gave me a deeper appreciation for the wonderful work done by Clare, Ruth and their team of staff and volunteers, including Cllr Patrick Nicholson. With the purpose built Hattie’s House providing a home to a number of big dogs and the cat house a home to a many cats and kittens looking for a forever family, it was great to find out more.
I really enjoyed some kitten cuddles too! My life doesn’t allow for a pet as I’m not at home for half the week but I was very tempted!
