Plymstock Banking Hub 
The planned closure of Lloyd's Plymstock branch, the last bank on the Broadway, comes after the closure of its Post Office in September 2021 and had dealt a huge blow to the community. It will mean that there is no access to cash, postal, or other banking services in the centre of Plymstock.
However, it does present the opportunity for a 'banking hub', a shared space where people can access banking services from different banks. There are 76 of its kind across the country. I am keen for Plymstock's to also include postal services. Speaking to many constituents and possible operators, I know that there is also great local support for this project.
Taking this campaign forward, I have delivered a speech about Lloyd's closure in Parliament, asking the Minister for his commitment to banking hubs which can incorporate postal facilities.
