Today I began my Food and Farming Fellowship Scheme, meeting with Back British Farming NFU President Tom Bradshaw and his team.
The year-long itinerary will cover different farming sectors and provide a first-hand experience of how sustainable and affordable food gets from 'field to fork'. I'm keen to grow my understanding of the sector so I can effectively represent the farmers of South West Devon in Parliament.
I will have my farmers in mind on budget day tomorrow, looking out for any changes to inheritance tax or housing in particular.
